The picture below was kindly donated by the great great granddaughter of John Owston who was probably the most famous coxswain of Scarborough lifeboat. He is often referred to as John Owston snr as his son succeeded him as coxswain.
The benefactor is Mrs Janet McCauley of Secret Harbour, Rockingham Western Australia.
